AZZLY®, Inc, One of Six Women-founded Health Technology Companies Selected for Summer Scale-Up Accelerator Cohort

On July 10-11, 2019, AZZLY® Founder and CEO Coletta Dorado is representing AZZLY in GuideWell and Springboard’s “Scale-Up” event for female-led tech companies.

Behavioral healthcare technology company AZZLY®, Inc. was selected by GuideWell Innovation, in affiliation with Springboard Enterprises, as one of six health technology companies for the summer 2019 GuideWell Scale-Up Accelerator cohort. The GuideWell Scale-Up Accelerator is an eight-week technology accelerator program focused on “Scale-Up” health technology or medical device companies. This cohort is dedicated to companies with women founders and are headquartered in the Southeastern U.S. The southeastern U.S. lags other regions of the country in available venture capital, and women founders only raised 2.2 percent of venture capital in 2018.

AZZLY’s solution AZZLY Rize™ is an affordable, electronic health record and revenue cycle management system specific to addiction treatment and behavioral health care. AZZLY, Inc. was founded by Coletta Dorado in 2009.

“We are very excited to be selected for this cohort,” expressed Coletta Dorado, CEO and Founder of AZZLY, Inc. “We appreciate the recognition of our entire team’s efforts, as we expand our business development efforts throughout the entire USA. AZZLY Rize software, helps Addiction Treatment and Behavioral Healthcare organizations treat more individuals.” Coletta added, “Government statistics show that there are 25 million individuals in need of service and less than 10% receive treatment. We want to be part of the solution.”

The other five companies selected from a strong applicant pool are 20Lighter (Delray Beach, Fla.), Corstrata (Savannah, Ga), Healthy Bytes (Winston Salem, N.C.), Heno (Orlando, Fla.), Tao Connect (St. Petersburg, Fla.)

We were thrilled with the quality of the applicant pool of female-founded companies at varying stages, which is why we made the decision to expand the program to include an Emerging Health Tech cohort for earlier stage companies as well as the Scale-Up Accelerator cohort for those that are more established. We are honored to be able to work with these amazing companies,” said Kirstie McCool, executive director of GuideWell Innovation. “The collaboration with Springboard brings forward a fantastic network of mentors that I know will help accelerate the growth of these companies.”
